The gas regulator is intended for domestic use and complies with the EN16129 standard.
Used for any type of cylinder equipped with a manual opening valve and a 21.8 x 1.14 l connection. Used to supply gas to appliances at the pressure indicated on the nameplate. The regulator has a pressure gauge that shows the current pressure in the cylinder.
It has a safety valve that operates in cases where the gas appliance has a higher gas consumption level than the reducer can withstand, or if the line is broken.
The purpose of using a pressure gauge is mainly to check the tightness of the installation.
The pressure gauge allows you to check for leaks when installing a new installation and shows a low gas level in the cylinder.
To perform a leak test, follow these steps:- install your system;
- then unscrew the cylinder valve;
- fill the hose with gas;
- close the cylinder valve and "stop" the gas in the hose.
At this point, there is gas in the system. If the system is gas-tight, the needle on the pressure gauge will remain stationary. In the event of a leak, the needle will slowly move to zero.
In this case, the user will need to find the leak using soapy water and then fix it.
An additional advantage of the pressure gauge is that it only informs about low gas levels.
The actual gas level can be observed as follows:- Blue: The cylinder is empty, there is no more liquid gas. Do not use the cylinder until it is full.
- Yellow: Early warning - schedule a refill as soon as possible. Estimated gas level allows for 1-2 hours of use. Cylinder pressure exceeds 1 bar.
- Green: sufficient gas level in the cylinder. Ready to work. Estimated gas consumption in hours.
The pressure in the cylinder is from 1 to 12 bar.
The pressure gauge does not show the exact level of liquid gas, but I inform you that the cylinder will soon need to be replaced.
This allows you to make sure that the cylinder is empty and not replace a cylinder that is still filled with gas.
Advantages of the new reducer with pressure gauge:- better resistance to shocks (during use or transportation), the pressure gauge body is much harder and equipped with a transparent plastic protective cap (must be removed after installation);
- better corrosion resistance;
- rotates 360 degrees and is always in a readable position;
- the overall length of the regulator is reduced;
